Men's Health Week 2020: Why Suicide Rate Is Higher In Men? Why Speaking Out About Men's Mental Health Is So Important?
Mental health is one such topic which is highly ignored until unless any celebrity commits suicide or talks about it. Recently, Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide once again made us realize the mental stress of male gender undergoes. A study has claimed that male has a higher tendency of suicide in comparison to women.

We always talk about female gender health issues but male gender is ignored. They too equally need to give attention. In our age-old society system, it is assumed that males have to take the responsibility of the family, the financial burden.

The study even claims that the suicide rate in men is 126 per cent. Overall, men are likely to die an average of four to five years before women.

Instead of discussing their issue, the male generally try not to talk about it which sometimes lead to depression, excessive alcohol drinking, drug abuse, social isolation.

Talking about mental health

For anyone who is suffering mental problem, the first thing is important is to talk. Don’t leave the person alone as it will only aggravate the problem and there will be no solution.

Majority men don’t talk about their fear, anxiety with their family or friends. They keep their emotions inside which is hurting them from inside.

The study suggests that maximum men suffer from depression which leads to suicidal thoughts. They think to end their life thinking no solution to their problems.

It is important in today’s time to speak about mental health especially among male. In the busy schedule life, we often forget to talk which is an actual remedy of many diseases.
